At Jackson's Paragon Charter Academy, parents are viewed as partners in their child’s education. Strong school and parent relations are invaluable in helping students achieve academically. We value our parents and work hard to develop strong parent relations.
Paragon has a Parent Room as part of the school building. Here parents are able to hold meetings, meet other parents, work on projects for their children’s teacher, make copies, or just wait for their children to finish school.
Parents get involved at Paragon in a number of ways including helping out with supervising lunches, chaperoning field trips, preparing classroom supplies, coordinating special events, and participating on various committees.
Currently we have several committees that elementary and middle school parents can become involved in:
- Boosters Committee – The Boosters Committee plans, organizes, and promotes a continuous improvement of our school through various fundraising efforts.
- Eco-Tribe – The Eco-Tribe encourages, models, and promotes efforts to be responsible caretakers of the world around us.
- Hospitality Committee – The Hospitality committee welcomes, involves, connects, and encourages Paragon families to play an active role in the life of Paragon.
- Library Committee – The Library committee maintains and promotes a library environment that is rich in print and media that engages the school population in literacy.
- Athletic Committee – The Athletic committee works together with our physical education teachers and Athletic Director to support and develop the athletic program.
- Moral Focus Committee – The Moral Focus Committee encourages, models, and promotes a strong moral focus across the school population.
