At Paragon, parents are viewed as partners in their child’s education. Strong school and parent relations are invaluable in helping students achieve academically. We value our parents and work hard to develop strong parent relations.
Paragon has a Parent Room as part of the school building. Here parents are able to hold meetings, meet other parents, work on projects for their children’s teacher, make copies, or just wait for their children to finish school.
Parents get involved in Paragon in a number of ways. Parents help out with supervising lunches, chaperoning field trips, preparing classroom supplies, coordinating special events, and participating on various committees.
Currently we have several committees that parents can become involved in:
- Moral Focus Committee that supports activities, assemblies, and other events that promote the virtue of the month.
- Boosters Committee that supports the fundraising efforts for the school .
- Grounds Committee that supports annual “Clean-Up Days”, plants flowers and bulbs, and helps to develop the school grounds into a warm, inviting place to be.
- Hospitality Committee that works with our Parent Representative to support school-wide events such as the Annual Soup Supper in March and welcoming new students and families to Paragon.
- Library Committee that works with our School Librarian to support the Accelerated Reader Program, catalog books, cover books, promote the Author of the Month.
- College Focus that helps to promote a college goal for all of our students.
